England midfielder Frank Lampard believes Chelsea s Champions League success can have a positive effect on the nation s Euro 2012 hopes.
Lampard is joined by Chelsea team-mates Ashley Cole, John Terry and Gary Cahill in the England squad and said he is still on a high after the London club s Champions League triumph in Munich.
I hope it can help greatly, Lampard said.
You have to try to bring the positives all together.
We will try and bring out a spring in our step into the squad, and we want to try and bring the fact that we ve won something this year, potentially against the odds at some times.
Maybe England will be at odds, and there is nothing wrong with that feeling, and as long as we can bring something as Chelsea boys we will.
Lampard believes Roy Hodgson s men are hungry for success after England failed to qualify for Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland.
England have been grouped with France, Sweden and hosts Ukraine in the 2012 tournament, which kicks off in June.
We have to believe we can achieve and go all the way, Lampard added.
There s a belief in the squad, and looking around the squad we know there is quality in the squad.
We know that if we can harness that kind of unity and determination with the quality we ve got, then we have to believe we can go all the way.
England overcame Norway 1-0 in Hodgson s first game at the helm last weekend and face Belgium at Wembley in a final friendly on Saturday before departing for the European Championship.
Really there needs to be a relaxed atmosphere around the camp and it feels like that at the moment, Lampard said.
As long as everyone is focused and determined and trains hard, I think we ve got the quality in the team, so it s about harnessing that and making the group very strong and then who knows what can happen.
Goal-line technology will be trialled in the Wembley friendly and Lampard, who infamously had a strike disallowed at the 2010 World Cup, hopes it will be introduced to the game sooner rather than later.
I think anyone who is in football, plays, watches or supports it feels it s about time (to introduce goal-line technology), Lampard said.
So, when it becomes that important an issue and the answers seem simple, why not? I really hope it gets brought into the game as soon as possible.
