Market: Both teams to score
Odds: 2/3 @
Knowing that three points will be enough to officially extend on their Premiership status, Ross County will welcome Aberdeen to Victoria Park on Sunday afternoon.
Starting with the hosts, while Ross County might have suffered last-gasp heartbreak away at St. Johnstone earlier in the week as they had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate, the Staggies are still sat in the driving seat to keep hold of their Premiership status. Opening their season finale holding a two-point buffer from slipping into the relegation play-off spots, interim boss Don Cowie will be desperate for his squad to drag themselves over the finishing line. Although the Dingwall-based outfit might have been last seen at Victoria Park suffering a woeful 5-1 drumming at the hands of Motherwell, Sunday’s hosts have won all of their other previous three Premiership showdowns in front of their own supporters. Likewise, Ross County have lost just one of their last seven matchups on home soil a run that stems all the way back to February 3rd. It should also be highlighted, all of those seven consecutive appearances at Victoria Park have finished with both teams getting on the scoresheet.
As for the visitors, although Aberdeen might have been frustrated this season as they missed out on the chance to book a top-half finish, the Reds are signing off the 2023/24 campaign with a real flurry. Last seen earlier in the week putting in another thumping performance as they cruised their way to a 5-1 romp at home against Livingston, Sunday’s guests have now won all of their previous four straight Premiership battles by an aggregate score of 11-1. Making a major statement last weekend as they secured a 4-0 victory away at Hibernian, interim boss Peter Leven has also not seen his squad suffer a single top-flight defeat from any of their last eight outings a run that stems back to March 13th. Notching nine goals in their back-to-back victories over the past weekend, Aberdeen have also registered seven points from their previous three matchups away from Pittodrie. In what could be an enjoyable affair this weekend, we are backing both teams to find the net.
