Browns vs Packers Week 16 Prop Bets: Can't Keep Up With the Jones

The presents have all been opened and now it’s time for the adults to have some fun. The NFL Christmas Day schedule kicks off with the Cleveland Browns traveling to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers who sit as 7.5-point home favorites.

Can the Browns get Baker Mayfield under center and regroup after health and safety protocols wreaked havoc on them last week? Can Aaron Rodgers further build his case for the league’s MVP?

Josh Allen Thanksgiving Day Spotlight: Player Props for Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions

It’s no secret that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been slumping a bit lately. But that’s no reason to doubt that he’ll feast on Thanksgiving, which is why Allen is the focus of my NFL player props spotlight this week.

Allen can throw. He can run. And he’ll likely do plenty of both against a Detroit Lions team that will still be overmatched on Thursday, despite their better play as of late.

While Detroit has improved on offense, it still boasts one of the worst defenses in the league. The Lions are 28th against the pass (262.2 yards per game), 31st against the run (153.7), and dead last in terms of points allowed (28.2).

Rams vs Texans Prediction, Picks & Odds for This Week’s NFL Preseason Game

The final week of the NFL preseason continues Saturday afternoon with a matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans.

These two teams, like many others across the league, held a joint practice this week that heavily featured starters. However, it’s unlikely we’ll see any of them in this game.

As a result, my Rams vs. Texans predictions lean toward a low-scoring affair. Find out more in our NFL picks for August 24.

My analysis

The Los Angeles Rams have only played one quarterback for the entirety of the preseason, and that is second-year man Stetson Bennett. With Matthew Stafford as the obvious starter and Jimmy Garoppolo as …

THE WHEEL TURNS

Ole Gunnar Solskjær must be yearning for days of yore when the only pile-ons to which he was subjected came in the wake of match-winning goals, his ecstatic teammates burying him at the bottom of an exultant pile of suffocating humanity, from which he would eventually emerge with a beam of genuine pleasure lighting up his pixie-like features. Whatever your allegiance, it was nigh on impossible to dislike Ole the player. But while sticking the boot into Ole the manager seems tantamount to seal-clubbing, the past 24 hours have seen plenty give it a right good go.

After Sunday’s shellacking at the hands of Liverpool, the honeymoon is officially over and in the press, on increasi…

FA plans to dock points for misconduct in grassroots football welcomed

Football Association plans to tackle abuse and discrimination in grassroots football by deducting points from clubs have been warmly welcomed by campaigners, who say punishments should be extended to cover fan behaviour and apply up the football pyramid too.

Rules announced by the governing body, to be implemented from the 2023-24 season, will lead to clubs below step six in the men’s game, and in tier three and below in the women’s, being docked points if players or coaches engage in discriminatory language or misconduct against a match official on more than one occasion across 12 months. The two-strikes rule would mean a club losing three to six points, with that potentially rising to 12 points for further offences.

Deadspin's Favorite Sports Moments Of 2017

The Deadspin staff pick their favorite sports moments from 2017, and explain what made them so special. Here they are. When The Pats Won The Super Bowl And Everyone At Deadspin Besides Billy Wept There is a lot of baggage tied to the Patriots that would take way too long to get through in the blurb of a year-end list, so I’ll keep it short and just say that it felt wonderful when the two hours of taunting notifications on my phone stopped because my coworkers were processing that the evil team ripped out the throat of a horse they knew they should’ve never backed. – Samer Kalaf Michigan Basketball’s Big 10 Tournament Just before the Big 10 tournament, a fairly average 20-11 Michigan team was forced to evacuate a plane after it slid off a runway before takeoff. Grierson & Leitch's 2014 In Review: The Best Forgotten Performances

Yes, most people have already written their Top 10 movie lists for 2014. We're saving ours for the last week of the year, but while we wait for this full, rich, and weird movie year to end, we're going to start looking back at certain highlights. Today, it's our favorite forgotten performances. Tomorrow: the year's worst films. Grierson
Chadwick Boseman in Get on Up
Heading into the summer, Oscar prognosticators were sure they'd found a definite Best Actor nominee here. After all, Get on Up director Tate Taylor's last film, 2011's The Help, was nominated for Best Picture and won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Octavia Spencer. Plus, a biopic about James Brown would certainly be high-profile, and the trailers suggested that star Chadwick …
